A place is defined by a lot more than the walls or structures that delineate it. Place management is the process of working with the people that live, work and play in a space to create the communities that bring these places to life. What’s actually involved in place depends on the project. There might be a central service, such as a café or similar hospitality venture, which Sprout and will then design, staff and set up. Usually there are events, activities and initiatives, tailored specifically to the needs and preferences of the community, which the Sprout team create and manage. The end goal is to empower the community to do all this themselves, resulting in sustainable, successful and enlivened places, driven by those that inhabit them.
